Wonder and Risk

I once met an artist with elven features who was cool and pretty and talented and hip, so I ingratiated myself to her.
She later confided in me her furtively fatal fantasy.
She wants to row a boat out into the ocean.
Far from shore.
Under the twilight moon, with the waves gently and uncaringly caressing her vulnerable vessel.
Out there, all alone, she wants to stab herself dead in the heart.
She wants to bleed out, surrounded by the dark water.
Quiet. Slow. Fluids, fluids, lights out. Goodbye moon.
She eventually stopped talking to me because she found me tedious, and she had better things to do.
